HEY, WHERE DID MAY GO?!!

I can't believe it's a month since I last posted on my Blog! Where is the time going to these days?!
I've been busy working at the Old Folks' Home and loving every minute of it! I've been there for 6 months in a few weeks!
I now do night shifts, which I find are much better...when the residents wake up, I find that I can spend a lot more time with them than on day shifts. There's nothing better than tucking them back into bed and saying 'night night, God bless, I love you'...when they say it back, it makes me melt! One of our ladies is absolutely bowled over when I say that to her and she says 'Oh thank you, thank you so much...and I love you too'...Bliss!

So far, I've got my First Aid Certificate...
I've started my Palliative and End of Life Care Training...I've got one certificate for that already...
And I've started my Dementia Training...

I've had a couple of boxes from Elaine in America, but can't find my camera charger!
These are some of the pictures that Elaine took...

Miniature Apple and Pear...they are tiny!

Cupboard Pillow Tuck...

Two Tiny Butter Pat Plates...sooooo cute!

Cream Pantry Tin...

Oval Tin, really unusual...

Tin Pail with Lettuce Seed Label...

Set of Spice Tins in Sage Green and Cream...

Tin Pitcher in Red and Cream...

Old Tea Tin Painted with a label added...

Three Wooden Pantry Pots...

Tiny Saltglaze Chicken...sooo cute!!

Tiny Wooden Cubby Box...
Inside this I've put:
The Apple and Pear...
The Saltglaze Chicken...
And the 3 Wooden Pantry Pots...
They look so good in there, I love it!!

I've also painted my chimney breast...it was mustard and is now cream...
And the fire surround was black and is now cream too...
It's lightened up the whole room!
I swapped some bits around on the mantle (with a little bit of help from my friend Mary) so it flows a bit better now!
We moved the flowers, put the Bench Table under the Wall Shelf, moved the Blackboard Box to the left and put the Sheep Frames there, with an old School Slate behind them. I've got some Black Bears sitting on the old School Cupboard to the left of the mantle, so the black on the left of the mantle works really well with them...
Thanks, Mary!!

Well, that's it for now...more studying to do!
Hope you are all keeping well and thanks for checking out my Blog!
Have a great weekend,
Love Karen xx
